The collection embraces rare and endangered species of the natural flora of Belarus; medicinal and aromatic plants; species of Belarusian aquatic flora and others. The garden also pays tribute to the diversity of world flora and contains hundreds of the Far East and East Asia, North America, Europe, Siberia, the Crimea and the Caucasus and Central Asia plants. Central Botanical Garden’s greenhouses are also worth a visit. These are home to more than 600 species of subtropical and tropical plants. Another place which gives the garden its unique atmosphere is citrus cultures greenhouse. It hosts an exhibition of about 100 citrus varieties: lemons, oranges, mandarins and grapefruits and has no equals in Belarus.
