Il borgo Troickoe (ossia il borgo della Trinità) è un vecchio quartiere pittoresco sulla riva del fiume Svisloch al centro di Minsk. Even if it’s a neighbour country of Poland and it takes only few hours to get there we don’t know all that much about it – all news that reach us are mostly on political level only.

La biblioteca Nazionale di Bielorussia, in quanto punto di riferimento del sistema delle biblioteche del paese, è custode di una notevolissima quantità di informazioni. Da più di 90 anni raccoglie il patrimonio di scritti e documenti del popolo bielorusso.

Nel 1997 il circo statale di Minsk è stato denominato come “Circo statale bielorusso”, istituzione statale degli spettacoli.

Il delfinario di Minsk “Nemo” non è soltanto la casa nativa e accogliente per gli animali marini più amati dalle persone, ma è anche un centro culturale, dove chiunque può relazionarsi e comunicare con quelli che fra gli animali sono i animali più intelligenti e più umani. Tra gli obiettivi principali del delfinario c’è la divulgazione delle conoscenze sui mammiferi marini, la diffusione della cultura ambientale, lo sviluppo di una coscienza ambientale tra la popolazione.

Lo zoo di Minsk è stato inaugurato il 9 agosto 1984, nel giorno del 40 ° anniversario di una fabbrica di automobili di Minsk come un giardino zoologico e botanico della MAZ (Minsky Avtomobilny Zavod). L’idea ed il progetto dello zoo sono opera di un “veterano” di questa, fabbrica di automobili, Fedor Idelevich Revzin, che ha lavorato qui per quarant'anni e ha fatto carriera iniziando come operaio meccanico addetto alle macchine fresatrici fino a diventare artista-designer.

A trip to Minsk appeared to be quite enlightening for me. Even though I am a frequent traveler and try not to let the stereotype squeeze into my mind, there was something to discover for me. And something to apologize for.

Il festival bielorusso-brasiliano dell’urban-art «Vulica Brazil» si tiene ogni anno nella capitale.

Nel giardino trova luogo la più antica fontana di Minsk, installata nel 1874, in occasione dell’inaugurazione dell’acquedotto.

Il giardino pubblico della Vittoria è sicuramente il più grande di tutta Minsk. Oggi questo fa tutt’uno con il lago Komsomolskoe situato al sul interno. Il parco sarebbe dovuto essere inaugurato il 22 giugno del 1941 ma quel giorno la Germania nazista attaccò l’Unione Sovietica.

Yanka Kupala (1882-1942) è un classico della letteratura bielorussa: è stato un poeta, drammaturgo, traduttore nonché autore di oltre 2000 opere tradotte in molte lingue straniere.

Pressoché al centro della Minsk odierna si è conservata una modesta villa nobiliare. Secondo gli esperti, si tratta di una perla architettonica dell’inizio del XIX secolo: come confermano le numerose ricerche, l’edificio è stato costruito in stretta osservanza dei canoni del classicismo secondo le proporzioni della “sezione aurea”.
