Visa to Belarus Became Cheaper

This year Belarus has revised its visa policy. Foreigners can visit the Augustow Canal, Grodno and Grodno region without a visa. And in 2017 the cost of Belarusian visas for European citizens will be reduced.

A spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Mironchik noted that "a number of categories of visas for certain countries of the European Union will be much cheaper".

Now a visa to Belarus costs 150 euros, but in January 1, 2017 visa will cost 60 euros - annual individual, and 10 euros - per person in a group.

Residents of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland will have to pay the visa fee of euros 25 (at reduced rates). Japan and Serbia's citizens are exempt from the payment of consular fees. The size of the consular fees for citizens of other European countries will be 60 euros.

Citizens of 80 countries can enter Belarus visa-free for up to 5 days through Minsk National Airport. Visa-free entry will apply to citizens of 39 European states, including all EU countries, as well as to Brazil, Indonesia, the USA, Japan and other states.
