The event will be free and will feature 25 Belarusian amateur theater groups from secondary schools of Minsk, Vitebsk, Orsha, Zhodino, Volkovysk, Grodno, Brest, Rogachev, Novopolotsk, Gomel, Mozyr, Rechitsa, Zhlobin, Krupovo, Borshevka, Bobruisk and Mogilev. All in all the event will feature around 250 participants. Their theater pieces are based on plays by Francophone writers. The Festival of Francophone Amateur Theaters was established in Belarus in 1993. The goal of the festival is to provide an opportunity to French-learning students to stage a performance in French and encourage students to study the language. Apart from that, the festival is a wonderful opportunity to bring together lovers of theater and the French language.
