The visa-free travel regulations will be more flexible

The Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry will present suggestions to amend the decree on visa-free travel by the end of 2017, Belarusian Sports and Tourism Minister Alexander Shamko said. The suggestions may include increasing the allowed length of visa-free stay (today tourists can stay in Belarus without a visa for no more than five days).

“The visa-free travel regulations should be more flexible,” Alexander Shamko believes. “We will present suggestions to amend the decree by the end of the year. Today it is evident that the allowed period of visa-free stay should be increased, and this matter will be raised. For now, I cannot specify by how many days the period may be increased. The matter is under discussion. We should analyze all advantages and disadvantages, the economic aspect,” the minister explained.
