After the celebration of International Women’s Day the Minsk Tango Festival will bring together dancers, disc jockeys and musicians who cannot imagine life without this passionate Argentinean dance. Milongas, master classes and seminars of famous dancers and founders of their own tango schools will be held as part of the festival. Artes Liberales 2017

From 8 till 30 of April 2017 Gallery of contemporary art “Ў” (Minsk) will host the sixth edition of ARTES LIBERALES - festival of art and education. For three weeks the Gallery’s space will once again turn into an open university of liberal arts and sciences (Latin - ‘artes liberales’).

Contemporary painting, photography, graphics, sculpture, and installations will be exhibited at this show. Visitors will have an opportunity to see, purchase and appreciate art created by Belarusian artists aged under 40 selected by a professional jury.

According to archeological evidence from 2nd century A.D. Maslenitsa may be the oldest surviving Slavic holiday. Maslenitsa has its origins in the pagan tradition. In Slavic mythology, Maslenitsa is a sun-festival, personified by the ancient god Volos, and a celebration of the imminent end of the winter.
