Without a second thought Minsk can be defined as a green city, for the number of parks and public gardens here are to be envied. And even the narrowest street is decorated with sideway trees. This extraordinary urban greenery has its focus in Central Botanical Garden.

When visiting exhibitions and displays of the garden it becomes obviouscomes in view that Belarusians appreciate their native flora. The collection embraces rare and endangered species of the natural flora of Belarus; medicinal and aromatic plants; species of Belarusian aquatic flora and others. The garden also pays tribute to the diversity of world flora and contains hundreds of the Far East and East Asia, North America, Europe, Siberia, the Crimea and the Caucasus and Central Asia plants. Central Botanical Garden’s greenhouses are also worth a visit. These are home to more than 600 species of subtropical and tropical plants. Another place which gives the garden its unique atmosphere is citrus cultures greenhouse. It hosts an exhibition of about 100 citrus varieties: lemons, oranges, mandarins and grapefruits and has no equals in Belarus.

This exceptionally lively mix of floras with a high percentage of natives makes Botanical Garden an interesting holiday destination. Here you can spend a great time with children attending an environmental lesson, refine your knowledge of world flora visiting displays and exhibitions of the garden or just relax behind green curtains of trees and reward your spirit and senses. The garden may also present lots of seasonal interest, as its beautifully designed and planted areas several times a year host special holidays on the occasion of Maslenitsa celebrating, lilac or tulip tree blooming, cranberry cropping and others.

It is possible to visit Central Botanical Garden all year round. It is open daily except for Monday. Tours and excursions are carried out by reservation over the phone. There are special programs for children. Groups of disabled visitors can be provided with free guided tours by special arrangements. I giardini della Vittoria

Il giardino pubblico della Vittoria è sicuramente il più grande di tutta Minsk. Oggi questo fa tutt’uno con il lago Komsomolskoe situato al sul interno. Il parco sarebbe dovuto essere inaugurato il 22 giugno del 1941 ma quel giorno la Germania nazista attaccò l’Unione Sovietica.
